Thanks Markham for "Gate of Paradise" which he believes in and would like to meet him there; is glad that he finds his opinion of Markham's work worth quoting; makes a point to say that his name is Stirling with an i; lists a few of Markham's poems that he likes; also states that Markham's war poems are better than his; says what an optimist he must be to call his philosophy of life "somber."
